Celebrating 15 Years of Literacy Fair at IC
Immaculate Conception School is excited to celebrate the 15th year of our beloved Literacy Fair—an event that continues to be a favorite extracurricular opportunity for our students to shine as scholars.
The Literacy Fair invites students to dive into a good book and bring their reading to life. Each participant selects a book, reads it, and creates a hands-on project—without the use of technology—that represents a favorite part of the story. This creative approach allows students to think deeply, make connections, and express their understanding in meaningful ways.
During the event, students proudly present their projects and are interviewed about their book and the work they created. Many also choose to dress as a character from their story, adding an extra layer of excitement and creativity to the experience.
The celebration doesn’t stop there—families can also enjoy activities happening throughout the event, including the always-popular Scholastic Book Fair.
For 15 years, the Literacy Fair has fostered a love of reading, creativity, and academic pride. We look forward to another wonderful year of celebrating our students and the joy of literacy!
